Tortage is a pirate town, the main hub of the starting region of the Barachian Islands. Its dirty streets are home to beggars and pirates, ruled with an iron fist by the Red Hand, under the leadership of "Admiral" Strom. Slaves are not allowed in town. There are rumors of an organized resistance against the despotism of Strom.
The central square in Tortage is the location of a number of NPCs: vendors, a trader, the city crier.
Lore
Some of the Conan stories take place in the Barachian Islands. [TODO: Expand on Valeria, Strom, etc]

Travel
To travel from Tortage you must finish your destiny quests (night-time) in Tortage.
You can return to Tortage later from Old Tarantia, using the services of a Tortage smuggler.
Adjacent zones
Access to the pict-infested Acheronian Ruins is to the South-East of the town. A small boat north of the docks in town will take you to the White Sands zone.
The Underhalls (a system of sewage, crypts and dungeons located under the town of Tortage) can be accessed through either a gate in the harbour or through the wine cellar found under the Temple of Mitra (outside the main gate into Tortage).
Dungeons and instances
- Thirsty Dog Inn is rumored to host some of the resistance leaders. In here you can talk to your trainer and switch between day-time and night-time (destiny) quests. During the night, while the vendors outside are resting, Butterfly inside the inn will sell some food items and will buy your loot.
Day-time instances (note that some instances can be accessed only as part of a quest):
