Due to the tampering of the gemcutting trade that Funcom is doing I have not updated this...and wont consider updating until it has settled down again

What cut do I need for my crafted item?                                              What gem can I use on my crafted item?

Armor:                                                                                                 * Common crafted items have one or more Gem Size 1 slots on them

* Common - Oblique                                                                                Gem Size 1 = Common (Refined Uncut Gem)

Rare - Cabochan

One-Handed / Crossbow:                                                                     * Rare crafted items have one or more Gem Size 2 slots on them

* Common - Rhombic                                                                               Gem Size 2 = Rare (Refined Flawless Gem). Gem slot 1 gems are useable in a gem slot 2 item

* Rare - Trillion

Two-Handed:

* Common - Oval

Rare - Teardrop

NOTE: - At the moment it appears that you can use a higher or lower tier cut gem on your crafted item if you wish...but it is often better to use

            same tier gem as that could change in the future.

          - Once you attach a gem it is a permanent fixture.

          - To attach a gem have the correct gem & crafted item in your backpack then select the gem & drag & drop it onto your crafted item.

             If compatible the item will glow green to show it is able to be upgraded

          - When attaching multiple gems to an item some people have difficulties with them all showing unless you zone or relog between each gem placement.

It appears that each gem cut is capable of producing one of around a dozen different results...and the end result that you actually get could be any of those

so I have provided the details for each one. This is by no means an exhaustive list...it is more of a work in progress.

Each tier/rarity of gemcutting has been given its own page due to the sheer number of possible results within each tier. This method makes navigation

somewhat easier
